Spotlight: Delayed automations and call improvements!
00:00:00:15 - 00:00:18:27
Hi, guys. It's Lucy from SwiftFox, and in the past year, we've really been focusing on moving our backend automations into the front end. A client favourite that we've always had is delayed automations. So let's get into it. So by delayed automations, essentially what we mean is we want a series of actions to take place within a set time period.
00:00:18:31 - 00:00:40:15
So a really good example of this is perhaps when a new member joins, you might want a series of actions to take place. Once join date is set. So that's what I'm going to do for this example. I'll start off with my trigger, which will be that member joining. I'll then add an action and you'll see we now have a new area where you can set up your time delay.
00:00:40:19 - 00:01:07:07
So in this instance I'll set it to one hour. So one hour after join date is set. I want this member to receive an email, welcoming them to our organisation. So I'll set up my email now. I then want to set another time delay, this time for one day off to join date was set. So I'll set up another email and this time, I want to send an email linking this member to that onboarding pack.
00:01:07:11 - 00:01:28:34
I'm not quite done yet. To finish off, I want to set up a final delay for 30 days later. 30 days later, I want to send another email sending a survey to this member for feedback. So I'll set up my final email. And that's it. I just need to publish my automation and now I'm ready to go. Thanks for watching our demo on delayed automations.
