Both SwiftFox and Dynamics are cloud-based SaaS CRM platforms, that can have 10 or 10,000 users and enable you to undertake a range of actions with the data stored in them. As a newer player in the market, SwiftFox comes with a different philosophy to Dynamics, which is the start of where differences emerge.

Comparing Features

With SwiftFox when you get started you won't need a third party ‘Implementation Partner' to get you set up – the SwiftFox team handle everything.

Dynamics set-up can be challenging and a lot of work, and most organisations employ a Dynamics implementation partner to get up and running much faster. Implementation partners are well trained and work closely with your team, however they are expensive and typically their work takes many months.

Dynamics offers online training programs free of charge, however most Dynamics customers employ a full-time staff member to administer the system or outsource this to a consulting agency.

For organisations who don’t go down this path, Dynamics generally stores your data in overseas data centres.

Dynamics was developed in the early 2000s, and its interface and user experience originates from the design principles of that period. While the platform continually updates, users often find the experience different depending on the features or products you are using that there is a steep learning curve and it is difficult to navigate, particularly for those with limited experience using such software.

Dynamics’s core CRM is focussed on basic sales features, while its extensive marketing features come at a significant additional monthly cost. Many Dynamics features have been integrated following Dynamics acquiring competitors, so its universality can feel like a ‘bolted-on’ experience.

AI can seem daunting, most users know it is a big deal, but can be confused as to how it can help. Our AI tools are powerful, yet deliberately simple. Dynamics’s AI tool is called CoPilot, which can be very useful to perform simple as well as complex tasks such as sales forecasting and cash flow management. In order to be able to access additional capabilities such as drafting emails, users will need to purchase a higher-level subscription.

SwiftFox takes care of everything. As a SaaS platform, our team has a long-term development pipeline where we are continuously rolling out new features accessed by all our users. Clients can always submit suggestions for the product roadmap.  

Dynamics has a roadmap of releases, however as Dynamics is such a large organisation, enhancements to its core features are led by its US team which make it difficult for client requests to be actioned in a timely manner. Custom development is possible with Dynamics, this requires organisations to hire an external development partner as additional cost.
