00:00:05:02 - 00:00:20:25
Emails. They like a conversation with your audience, and sometimes you want to try different approaches to see what resonates best. That's where A/B testing comes in. It's a powerful feature that helps you find the perfect message for your audience.
00:00:20:29 - 00:00:37:16
In this tutorial, we'll explore SwiftFox's A/B testing feature and show you how to; Set up an A/B test for your emails.Choose what to test and review your results. Let's dive in.
00:00:37:20 - 00:01:06:36
Here in SwiftFox Emails, you'll notice a new toggle for Use A/B Testing. When you select this, you're opening up a world of email optimisation possibilities. First, you need to decide how many of your recipients will be part of the test. By default, we've set this to 20%, meaning that your test variations will go to this portion of your audience, while the winning email will be sent to the remaining 80%.
00:01:06:40 - 00:01:29:43
SwiftFox lets you decide what success looks like. You can measure performance based on either click rates or open rates. For example, if you're testing different subject lines like we are today, open rate is your best metric. However, if you're testing changes within your designs that won't be visible until after the email is opened you’ll want to use click rate.
00:01:29:47 - 00:01:47:49
You’ll also need to select a testing duration. We've set this to one hour by default, giving you enough time to gather meaningful data before sending the winning version. I'm happy with these options, so we'll move on by selecting next. For this example, we're testing two different subject lines.
00:01:48:00 - 00:02:09:29
So with Campaign A Active I will enter “Welcome to the Tech Association”. And then I will switch over to Campaign B and write “Have you received your new member pack?”. All of these campaign details, including the tracking options, can be set separately for campaign A and B.
00:02:09:33 - 00:02:43:18
You can also test different email designs. We're keeping the content identical for this demonstration since we're looking at open rates. If you do want to try different designs, simply select the button in the top left corner to switch between variations. Once you're ready to send, select next and you'll see that A/B testing is enabled and you can compare the differences side by side below. You can choose from our three standard send methods, and then send.
00:02:43:22 - 00:03:06:15
This is going to take an hour, so we'll just sit here together and wait patiently to see which one wins. No, there's no time for that. Let's just look at one I sent earlier. After sending. Visit your campaign overview page to watch the results come in. You'll see a new window displaying your A/B test results, complete with metrics for both variations.
00:03:06:19 - 00:03:22:19
Looking at the results from the test campaign be proved to be more effective with a higher open rate. As a results, SwiftFox automatically send this version to the remaining 80% of our audience. Demonstrating how A/B testing helps optimise our email performance.
00:03:22:23 - 00:03:40:37
There you have it. I be testing and swear folks helps you optimise your email campaigns by letting you test different approaches and automatically sending the winning version. Remember, you can test subject lines, content, and designs to find what works best for your audience. Happy testing!
