Spotlight: Conditional Automations
Things have changed
00:00:00:12 - 00:00:08:41
Hi everyone, Olivia here from the SwiftFox team. And today I'm excited to show you one of our most powerful automation upgrades yet - Conditional Automations.
00:00:08:45 - 00:00:23:38
Conditional logic means your automations can now branch based on values in a custom field or form response. So instead of building multiple workflows, you can now have one automation that splits into different parts depending on what's changed.
00:00:23:39 - 00:00:30:33
Right now, conditional automation support triggers like custom field changes and form responses with more to come.
00:00:30:37 - 00:00:43:24
Here I have an automation already set up. This automation is triggered by a feedback survey, which then sends out an automatic thank you email. To expand on this, I'll add a new action and select Conditional Outcomes.
00:00:43:28 - 00:00:50:16
If the user gives a low rating I would like an internal email to be sent to a team member so they can follow up on this feedback.
00:00:50:20 - 00:00:58:04
We'll give the outcome a name called Low Rating. Set the field to the rating from the survey and then include the values 1, 2, and 3.
00:00:58:08 - 00:01:06:23
We can now add a new email action to this condition that goes to our client team. It's perfect for tailoring follow ups without duplicating work.
00:01:06:27 - 00:01:18:33
We've also added support for multiple conditions. If we go back to this example and edit the conditions, we can add as many additional outcomes as we lack based on any of the form questions.
00:01:18:37 - 00:01:30:21
For example, let's add a new outcome called High Rating for when the writing includes the values 4 or 5. You can see here that it is now made a second branch to add more action to.
00:01:30:25 - 00:01:37:24
We could use this to send a separate email to the client team to then request a testimony from.
00:01:37:27 - 00:01:50:29
This is just the beginning, with conditional automations, you can quickly create very detailed automated workflows. Thanks for watching our feature spotlight on Conditional Automations. For a deeper look into our features, don't forget to check out the SwiftFox Academy.
